I am a psychiatrist with over 40 years of experience in field of mental health. At present I work at a Crisis intervention / Home treatment team and also give lectures at Masters programs at King's College London.
I am seeing clients with all kinds of problems eg with psychotic disoders, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, Anxiety or Personality Disorders. They often have problems with managing their negative thoughts and emotions and the goal of my treatment is to reach a good balance between emotions and thoughts.
If necessary, I will prescribe the medication and then will follow up the effect of the treatment.
Although I am not a specialist in psychotherapy, I have knowledge of some therapeutic approaches eg Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing,
Compassion-Focused Therapy and Mindfullness Based Cognitive Therapy. I can advise my clients - what kind of therapy they will benefit from and to refer them to psychotherapists.
